As a ravenous music student from the beginning with a Bachelor of Music, her ability to reel in the big-room EDM with the large club vibes and fuse her neo-soul roots with an electronic foundation is second to none. Her initial jazz studies created a haven for her where an experiment with freestyle singing and heavier rap grabs embellished her musical personality well and truly.
From across Australia into Shanghai for the Formula 1, Malaysia and Indonesia to Canada’s dreamboat ski location of Whistler, Lady Lauryn has bases covered, delivering a fanatic’s die-hard show. Her lineups have always been in neon lights with sets along side Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, Daft Punk to Snoop Dogg and David Guetta. Taking the headline storm at Mt Panorama Festival, Village Fair, and Freedom Festival to guest spots at Summerfieldayze, the Lady Lauryn power is strong. Her captivating MC skills have also seen her on vocal duties at the NRL Grand Final in 2014.
Labels across the map hold true to Lauryn as do the charts. Releases on Universal, Central Station, Homebrew and LNG have ambushed. ‘Noise’ with Tom Piper reached #8 on ARIA Club Charts while Beatport reeled it with ‘Getting Nasty’ with KCB topped #3 and hovered for 8 weeks in the Top 10. On compilation duties, ‘Wild Summer’ and ‘Pump It’ impressed ARIA at #3. A well-rounded demand in the electronic industry has seen Lady Lauryn also collaborate with Pitch Dark, Craig Obey, Fear of Dawn and recently on ‘We Are Your Friends’ with Audiophreaks and Royaal. A queen in the studio, mastering vocal improvisation and taking it to the stage has became Lady Lauryn’s pot of gold and the rest is history.
